Water Heaters

Natural gas tank water heaters — reliable, cost-effective, and available same day. We carry brand-new 40, 50, and 75-gallon units on our trucks.

Natural gas tank water heater

Natural gas. Tank storage. Built to last.

Gas tank water heaters burn natural gas to heat water stored in an insulated tank — ready whenever you need it. They’re straightforward, proven, and our most common installation. Most homes with gas lines already have everything needed for a direct swap, which means same-day in most cases.

Bay Area homeowners: 2028 gas phase-out. Starting January 1, 2028, BAAQMD Regulation 9, Rule 6 prohibits new gas water heater installations in the nine Bay Area counties. Existing units and repairs are not affected. If your current unit is aging, this is a useful deadline to plan around. See the full 2028 rule breakdown →

What to consider

  • 01
Tank size40 gallons covers 1–2 people. 50 gallons for 3–4. 75 gallons for larger households. We size correctly at the estimate — no guessing.
  • 02
EfficiencyHigher efficiency models reduce monthly gas bills. We stock units across the efficiency range so you can choose the right balance of upfront cost and long-term savings.
  • 03
VentingStandard atmospheric-vent units use your existing flue. Power-vent models work in spaces without direct vent access. We assess venting during the estimate and handle any changes needed.
  • 04
Space and installationGas tank heaters need room for the unit, proper clearances, and adherence to local code. We handle permits, inspections, and haul away the old unit.
  • 05
Recovery rateA higher BTU burner means faster reheat after the tank depletes — important for households with back-to-back showers or heavy morning demand.

Repair and installation — same call.

We carry most repair parts on the truck. If your heater can be fixed, we fix it. If it needs to be replaced, we carry brand-new units in stock and can do the full installation on the same visit. Our goal is to get your hot water back on the same day we show up.
